Kristen and Dax: Opposites Attract
What do you think?
If adorable actress Kristen Bell had a dime for every time someone said she could do better than goofball Dax Shepard, she’d be able to bail out the banking industry by now. And really, we understand why people get that confused Golden Retriever look whenever they try to wrap their heads around the unlikely pairing.
The Michigan natives got engaged over the holidays, and Bell’s diamond sparkler dazzled at the Grammys. So, aside from Dax’s hilarity and obvious good taste in jewelry, what does Kristen see in her When In Rome co-star? And is it enough to make for a marriage? Moonit’s ready to find out what you get when you mix a Bell and a Shepard. (And no–it’s not jingly sheep.)
Check out another rising star recently engaged to the class clown.
According to Moonit’s analysis, Kristen (born on July 18, 1980) and Dax (born on January 2, 1975) are a classic case of “opposites attract.” If Kristen and “the one she loves to hate” have such completely different views on just about everything, why are they so drawn to each other? The answer may just be found in their single-minded similarities.
“Even though they aren’t always on the same page, they tend to agree on one really important thing: that they want to be happy and make things work with each other. This desire is so strong, in fact, that it usually wins out over their differences, and bodes for a long, (mostly) positive relationship.” (We hate to toot our own horn, but did you hear about the interview where Kristen was asked about her relationship with Dax, and she was all, “…[the secret is] healthy communication. How important it is to talk about your deepest, darkest fears and feelings.” Just sayin’…)
Of course, with the good, soul-matey fluff comes the not-so-good, soul-crushy stuff. Moonit warns that, “Disagreements arise because his laid-back style can get on her ambitious, over-achieving nerves.” If Dax’s off-screen tendencies are anything like his onscreen personae, we’ll buy it. (For those uninitiated in the slacker ways of funnyman Shepard, may we point you towards such stoner classics as Idiocracy, Baby Mama and Boobies in Space?)
But there’s still a silver lining! Moonit asserts that, “Even though they can be on opposite ends of the spectrum, everything usually ends up working out because–underneath it all–he’s all about giving her the one thing she craves above all else in the whole wide world: his undying support.” Collective awww. We guess that maybe, just maybe, it’s time for those naysayers to step off.
