You can sign up for your full results and more by creating a Moonit account. On your results page, click the orange “sign up for your full results” button. Enter in your information in the sign up fields and hit submit. You’ll receive an email from us asking you to activate your account. Follow the instructions in the email, and you’ll be all set to log into the site for your full results.
Once you decide to “moon someone,” you will see a form page where you can enter in the type of relationship, then your information and their information. In the “them” section on that page, you’ll see a blue link called “don’t have this?” that lets you email that person, asking them to send in the missing information. They’ll know you’re running a relationship assessment on them. The same blue link “don’t have this?” is also available on the pop-up that appears when you go to “add new relationship” off your dashboard. Just a tip, you can run them first for friendship or business if you don’t want them to think you have a crush on them! You can always run them for romantic purposes after they reply with their birthdate.
If there is a problem with the sign up process, please send an email to inquiries@moonit.com. In the meantime, make sure you check your Spam folder in your email account as the Moonit activation email may have landed in there by mistake. You will need to follow the instructions in that email to set up your account.
From your dashboard or relationship page, hover over the relationship you wish to edit. A little pencil icon will appear on the top right — hover over the icon and you will see two links for edit or delete. You can also access those links from the relationship detail page. You will see the same little pencil icon on the top right of the relationship page. From the edit page you can change the type of relationship, name, gender or picture for the person and hit submit.
If you go into your “edit profile” setting you will find the delete function at the bottom of the page.
When you click on any of the names in your list of relationships, you’ll be taken to an “updates” page that showcases a graph of your compatibility with that particular person. This page also lets you update your relationship status by selecting from a drop-down of choices and allows you to enter in some brief information in the open field about how things are going. When you hit submit, you’ll have a record of your status update on your dashboard. So you can use these updates to keep a personal relationship diary. This information won’t be made public unless you choose to select “broadcast to Twitter” or “broadcast to Facebook.” Your status updates will also be tracked on the graph in your “updates” tab so you can see how things are going with each of your relationships.
You can sort and rank your relationships by clicking on the “see all” link in the “my relationships” section of your “dashboard,” or simply go straight to your “relationships” tab. You can sort your relationships in different ways, according to first and last names, degree of compatibility and recency of updates.
If you want to run different people anonymously, you can simply sign out by clicking on the “sign out” button that appears on the upper right of the site.
Go to the “dashboard” page and click on the blue link in the upper left that reads “edit profile.” This will take you to your account settings. Click on the “avatar” tab to update your picture. If you click on the picture placeholder, you can change the avatar. Click “choose file” to search your image library. Then hit submit.
Click on the tabs that say “find out” to run someone for romantic, friendship or professional relationships. The romantic relationships are denoted by a heart, the friendships by a smiley face and the business ones by a briefcase. You can always save a relationship as another type by going to “edit relationship” and using the “relationship type” drop-down.
If you already have a Facebook account, Moonit makes it easy for you to run your contacts and get your full results. You can simply click the blue “connect with Facebook” button, then enter in your Facebook username and password in the Facebook pop-up, confirm your birthday details, and you’re all set to start running all of your contacts. If your contacts have filled out their Facebook profiles, Moonit will pre-populate their data so you don’t have to remember it.
At the moment, you can only preview the results of two people if one of them is not you. But please stay tuned as we’re creating a matchmaking and referral tool that will allow you to see the compatibility of any two people and make suggestions for your contacts.
No, no one can see your relationships. The only way to share your relationships is by clicking on “Tweet this,” “Post to Facebook,” or “Email my results,” which sends your output to a specific person of your choosing. You can also broadcast your relationship status updates if you wish to do so.
Moonit allows users to share their feedback when they see their full results by scrolling down to the section that asks “are we on target?” Users can select from a drop-down of options that include “spot on,” “sorta right,” “not sure” and “way off base.” In addition, users can share their comments using an open-ended field. The more specific the user comments, the better. Moonit uses these comments to tweak the outputs and make them smarter for everyone.
: If you don’t see your birth country in the drop-down on the profile page, please click on the “give us feedback” footer link on the bottom of the page and let us know which country we’re missing. We’ll be sure to follow up right away.
